The Reason I Do What I Do…

Growing up, my mom made lots of scrapbooks of our trips, milestones, and even some of the simple lives we lived day to day. As a child, and truthfully to this day, I love looking back at the images, flipping through the pages, and reminiscing fondly.

When I had my daughter, Mayah, I began doing exactly what my mom did in hopes that she too would one day look back at all of the memories with a smile on her face. The problem, for me, was being in the digital age we live in, I had 12,000+ photos on my phone and maybe a handful printed out but not even placed into a frame let alone hung on the wall. I quickly started falling short of the task of getting the images off of my phone and onto the walls. When I would show Mayah a photo of herself on my phone, she lit up, and I realized I needed to change my situation.

Now our home is decorated with beautiful images that she sees daily. I not only want to do that for my family, but for yours as well. There is something to be said about hanging an actual portrait versus looking at it on a device. I believe it helps your child see the beauty in themselves while boosting their self-esteem and making them feel loved. This is exactly why I feel so strongly about boutique photography.
